I'm Dannel Jurado and this is music I want you to hear.

From Christian Calhoun of Medina, Ohio, Cooshinator is a hyper dancey project that draws influences from Fighter X, TREYFREY, Sabrepulse, USK, little-scale and Electric Children. I’ve never turned down an EP for having a dumb name, I’m not about to start now, this is exactly what my week needed, some booty-shaking classic chip.

One of those times I wish I could say it better but simply cannot:

His other project, boerd, just had a release that you can listen to on his Soundcloud. You may also know him from the band, Stay Ali
Here’s a cool idea from Bleep: they had their staff pick the 100 best tracks from the year 2012 and put them together in a compilation for you to buy in MP3/WAV/FLAC.
The team have picked the best in all styles of music, from house music and techno through to the the more experimental spheres of electronic music and indie / alternative rock.
I’m almost halfway through listening to the whole thing and there are some really excellent tracks in there, a lot of stuff that’s completely new to me. Wow, that was AMAZING. Highly, highly recommended.
Sure, it’s $45 for the MP3 version, but that’s half the price of an iTunes or Amazon download. HALF THE PRICE. Get on this, it’s a fascinating tour through 2012 in music and it’s only available until February 6th!
It’s hard for me to describe dendy crew’s tracks? I can say the the following 2 things for certain:
How did I get here? What is this wonderful music? Tech…no….as the citizens call it.
Henry Homesweet - Live-Mode #2
It’s hard to think of a nicer, more soft-spoken, more talented individual than Henry Homesweet. For a while, he has been producing these videos of him playing around with an assortment of gear in his basement or in his out-house (does it mean something else across the pond? not sure), this latest series focuses on some experiments with hardware, I think he’s syncing the 2 GBAs to the Roland TR-808 via that box with the LEDs and 4 big blue buttons. Don’t miss anything Henry Homesweet does, the man is brilliant in the studio and on-stage. Oh, here’s the first video in the series.
Bonus: His latest full album “Enter 5D” is available to stream on his SoundCloud
Space Town Savior - Futures Past Due
With Space Town Savior’s 9th release, he’s announcing a hiatus from the project while life happens for a bit (taken from the PDF included in the download):
It’s been about two years since I got that Game Boy Color. And yeah, it’s been quite a ride.
Two weeks after this album releases, I’ll be graduating college. I’m going to end up programming a lot and trying to get a job in the video game industry, and hopefully I’ll end up making something cool.
But because of that, I’ll be taking a break from Space Town Savior. Not a permanent one — just a break. I need some time to concentrate on doing something that’ll make me enough money to keep making this music. Not that money has ever been an issue, anyway.
I won’t be gone long! I just need some time to get myself settled.
Here’s the thing — the videogames I’m planning on making will have a LOT to do with Space Town Savior. So if it seems like I’m dormant, I’m not. I’m just going to be working on something big and I hope you’ll join me for whatever happens later on.
Patrick’s music is strictly for dancing under the stars, his floating progressions are to absorb and not simply to listen. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in my living room one slightly-cold March night, I was completely blown away. Good luck with life post-college! We’ll be anxiously awaiting more of your music.
Bonus: Still my all-time favorite Space Town Savior track, Incredible Stepwise Function
Atenção! Pulselooper vai te afogar em números!
er…
This year, minusbaby won’t be the only Portuguese-speaking performer to take the stage at Blip Festival. All the way from São Paulo, Brazil, Pulselooper will be on the 10 pm slot hashing out the techno by the earful. Hexadecimal is his most recent album and it’s available FOR FREE, you can also get a live Pulselooper set that was played in Berlin last year (also FREE).
Henry Homesweet - Critical Buddha
An amazing video for an amazing track from Henry Homesweet’s album “Enter 5D” (available for purchase from Antigen Records, additional US link). There’s all sorts of details of minimal techno that transport you into that party ambiance. Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2012 is beyond awesome for all of you.
