Eat Rabbit - Live @ Place Club, St. Petersburg, Russia, 2007
If you’ve ever encountered the amazing rawness of Eat Rabbit, you mostly know what to expect. If this is your first time, hold on to your butt, cause it’s gonna be shakin’. I’m just glad he posted this somewhat old mix for us to enjoy.
I quite like posting mixes on Friday afternoons, is anyone opposed? Something about hammering out those last minutes/hours before heading home for the weekend.
More listening: Eat Rabbit’s “Kiss the Dolphin” if you want to get confused and loud, it’s a free download, or you could give him €5 and be real cool.
Chibi-tech @ Live at Blip Festival Tokyo 2012
I absolutely LOST IT at about 4:28 and subsequently for every bit of the set afterwards.
Don’t Miss: Hige Driver’s set and NNNNNNNNNN’s set from night 1
IAYD - Bite It (Live at Studio B 06/09/2012)
You might remember this track from a mix I posted before. Alex Luna does IAYD on the chip side of things and Telxon on the house/disco side of things. I can never have enough of either.
Radlib - Live at Blip Festival 2012
Closing off what was possibly my favorite night of this year’s Blip Festival, Radlib comes and WOWs EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF US. Complete with cardboard Beavis and Butthead cutout and an Apogee t-shirt, Radlib rocks the Soundblaster 1s and 2s. It’s almost a 40 minute video, but you can listen or watch one of my all-time favorite sets thanks to cTrix.
An amazing live session mix by MeNeO, get your week started on the funkiest of all feet.
It’s interesting to see how much of that 80s synthrock sound you can channel while still being your own band and having your own sound. This song gets stuck in my head quite often for almost sheer sound. If you speak/understand Spanish well enough to pull apart the lyrics, it’s actually a honeymoon sex metaphor. You’re welcome.
Bonus listening: another Argentine synthrock classic of the 80s, Soda Stereo
Omodaka @ Blip Festival Tokyo 2011
I normally won’t post long videos, most videos aren’t that long to begin with, but whoever the amazing soul is behind the username monkeyturn, I have to give some major shout outs. They also seem to be adding other sets from Blip Festival Tokyo 2011, check them out!
p.s. Omodaka is amazing, I hadn’t heard about them before Blip, but the audio of the set impressed my pants off, the video just completes the image.
