    KILL3R WHALE - Let’s Party
If Monday’s post was about an indie-rock band with chip sensibilities, this might as well be the post about a pop band with chip sensibilities. I can’t place any other sound to it, it’s got that electro tinge, but the light, almost flirty, vocals that ground this firmly in the pop music milieu. It’s not even pop-I-want-to-hate, it’s pop music I will no doubt be including on summer playlists because of the sheer goodtimes vibes pouring out from my speakers.
an0va spells it out for us on chipmusic.org (emphasis mine):

This release is killer. “Never Have I Ever” definitely my favorite track-the brass at the end is beautiful. “Turn Out All The Lights” is also a guaranteed banger.
IMO, if there’s any recent chip release that could successfully make it into Top 40, it’d be this one. That’s a compliment, of course! It’s ridiculously digestible in a good way-I think a lot of non-chip people could really get into this. Here’s to hoping for a good future to this project!

Yes, all of that. Godspeed KILL3R WHALE, I can’t wait to see you live in the summertime.
