Systema Solar - Bienvenido

Welcome to the first week in NY where every high is above 50 degrees Fahrenheit! Every time it gets warm in the spring I bust out the cumbia beats. For the longest time I wondered why all the people making cumbia always sing about how hot it is out then tonight I just realized that it’s because it’s actually probably pretty hot where and when they’re listening to it (the equator region in South America).

Here’s a old Systema Solar song, I’m a sucker for street parties I think. They call themselves an audio-visual collective of Afro-Caribbean beats, which is pretty accurate given their particular flavor of cumbia and tecnocumbia
